The Moment Before You Were
The Vision Before Time
I heard a little bell; it went off just before my wake — But somehow, in-between, a lot happened. I was standing on a plain of flat, completely clear, shallow waters. I could feel no movement of these waters, but I could feel something took place here. Something destructive, yet necessary — a ‘cleanse’ perhaps. The water that remained held a secret. The words could almost leave my mouth but instead, a gasp escaped. One so deep, I could feel it scratch the bones in my chest. I fell to my knees and suddenly, the ripples I created reversed back towards me as quickly as they left, pushing me back up into a stance.
I lost control of my body, slowly hovering over the waters that were now waves in a storm - one that I could sense was present for a long time. Time felt backwards - and so did my senses. Everything I had ever seen was watching me, every sound or voice I’ve heard was now keenly listening in, every texture I have ever touched was making its way through my nervous system, the scents I once knew were leaving my lungs - and lastly I was the flavor of the world around me. Once this came into my consciousness, it was clear - the storm that was created emanated from my inner conflict coming to resolution, clashing with itself in order to rectify my ignorance into clear still waters to see myself clearly in.
However, this wasn’t just my story. This was the worlds.
You may ask, what was before the storm.

That which existed just before your conception — before the first flicker of time, before space and matter converged into form. The same essence that was before the before.
